Product Details

The Blue Foot Baboon is a really unusual species from South Africa, best known for its striking metallic blue feet contrasting against a dark brown-black body. They can reach around 6-8cm as adults and have a medium growth rate. They’re also famous for creating silk-lined burrows with a proper trapdoor entrance, which is pretty impressive for a tarantula.

They’re a fossorial species, so provide plenty of substrate for burrowing and allow them to create their own retreat.

Keep them around 22–26°C with humidity around 50–70%.

Temperament-wise, they’re a defensive Old World species and can be very quick when disturbed, making them better suited to keepers with some experience. They’re usually much happier hiding underground anyway — preferably behind a tiny trapdoor they’ve built themselves.
