Product Details
The Brazilian Red Hair is a big, chunky terrestrial tarantula from Paraguay, covered in lovely reddish-brown hairs. They can reach around 14–17cm as adults and make a great display species.


They’re generally straightforward to care for. Aim for around 22–27°C with humidity around 65–75%, providing a water dish, good ventilation and a decent depth of substrate which can be kept slightly moist in part of the enclosure.


Temperament can vary, but they’re often skittish and a little defensive, with a tendency to flick urticating hairs when they’re not impressed. Give them some space and they’re usually perfectly manageable.


A big, hairy, hungry Nhandu with plenty of character.
